PASTOR TERRY EUGENE MACKEY was born in Memphis, Tennessee to his proud parents, Pastor Eugene and Dawn Mackey, in 1982. The golden text that serves as the impetus for his life is Matthew 6:33 which states: “But Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”

He is a product of the Memphis City School System graduating from Whitehaven High School. After graduating with the highest honors from Whitehaven, he attended Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Fisk, he was the president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity for two years, President of his class, and crowned Mr. Fisk University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Fisk University with a B.A. in Religious Studies.

In May of 2007, Pastor Mackey received the Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. Immediately following graduation, he became the Minister to Youth and Young Adults at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, one of the nation’s largest predominantly African American churches, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Marcus D. Cosby. At Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, Pastor Mackey became the primary teacher and preacher in the absence of the Rev. Dr. Cosby.

In September of 2010, Reverend Mackey became the Pastor of Riceville Mount Olive Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. At Riceville Mount Olive, he assisted in doubling the annual revenue and tripling church attendance.

He has also received numerous awards in the field of oratory, including, among others, The Prudential Spirit of Community Award, The NAACP Act-So National Oratorical Winner, and The Alpha Phi Alpha National Oratorical Winner.

Pastor Mackey graduated in May 2021 with his Doctorate Degree in Ministry at Memphis Theological Seminary, where his concentration was in church growth and church planting.

At present, Pastor Mackey is continuing Pilgrim Rest’s involvement in the community by actively participating and maintaining a visible presence.

Pastor Mackey is married to his sweetheart, Lynn F. Mackey, and they have three children, Micah, Timothy, and Barbara.

Rev. Dr. Antione J. Hutchins, D.Ed.Min. serves as Senior Pastor of the Christian Unity Baptist Church of Waldorf, MD. The church has grown from a handful to many hundreds in a short period of time. His passions include preaching, church revitalization and mission work.

A graduate of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, at Virginia Union University, Pastor Hutchins holds a Masters of Divinity and has most recently completed his Doctorate of Educational Ministry from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary at Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky in May, 2019.

Dr. Hutchins is an anointed and skilled psalmist who brings deliverance to the people of God through his music ministry. Pastor Hutchins and the Christian Unity Choir were recipients of the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement awards for “Best Album/CD of the Year” & “Choir of the Year” in 2015.

Dr. Hutchins has a hunger for the development of young pastors, church-plants and foreign mission.

Pastor Hutchins is on a mandate by God, not only to preach and sing, but also to teach the people of God the value of worship, while bringing the revelation of God’s word in a practical way so that people may grasp and apply it to everyday life.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. William H. Curtis accepted the call to ministry at the age of 17. For seven years, he served as the Senior Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in York, PA; however, since 1997, he has served as the Senior Pastor at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mount Ararat Baptist Church is a large urban ministry and ministers to more than 10,000 members in the community, providing four well-attended weekend services. Mount Ararat believes in ministry to the whole community, and under the leadership of Dr. Curtis, the church implemented a Community Tithe Program, which returns over ten percent of the congregation’s weekly offerings to small churches, para-church ministries and non-profit organizations.

Dr. Curtis has been an instructor at the United Theological Seminary and has graduated several groups of doctoral students at the institution. Aside from pastoral instruction, he is Co-Owner of The Church Online, a successful technology and full-service marketing firm that provides top of the line services to ministries all over the world.

He has served as a Board member of Amachi Pittsburgh; and his Board relationships include: the Pittsburgh Sports and Exhibition Authority, the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, The Ellis School, the Interdenominational Theological Center, and the Baptist School of Theology. In addition, he served as President the Hampton University Minister’s Conference from 2007 – 2011.

His fraternity memberships include: Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi, and Jericho lodge #20. In February 2016, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf assigned him to the Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs. In January 2018, he was elected to serve on the Allegheny County Airport Authority Board. In July 2020, the Allegheny Health Network elected him to serve on their Cancer Institute Advisory Board. In February 2021, he was elected to the Faithlife Corporation Board.

Dr. Curtis has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards.

In 2009, he was inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers of Morehouse College. In the spring of 2010, Dr. Curtis moved from the speaking arena into the publishing arena with his first book, “FAITH — Learning to Live Without Fear,” which is currently in its fourth printing. His second book, “Dressed for Victory: Putting on the Full Armor of God” was released in April 2015 and is currently in its second printing. And, his third book “Mentor Shift” was published in May 2019. “One Day Closer” a compilation of his mediations during the Pandemic shut-in from March 2020 thru May 2021 was published in June 2021; and it was followed by “One Day Closer” –Volume 2 which was published in June 2022.

Dr. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Morgan State University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Howard University School of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Curtis is married to the former Christine Y. Richardson, and they are the proud parents of one lovely daughter, Houston.
